Why donate

The Mater Institute of Research and Therapy is making a difference in the fight against Blood Cancers.

Our funding comes from a mixture of sources and consists of income from our commercial activities and partnerships and donations from the Irish state, as well as private and corporate donors.

Patients and their families and friends make a huge contribution. We would encourage any person whose life has been touched by Blood Cancer to use any event as an opportunity to fund-raise.

All individual efforts no matter how small matter and give a tremendous morale boost to patients and health workers dealing with blood cancer.

At MIRT we welcome donations from organizations or individuals who share our motivation to find a cure for Blood Cancer. We believe in a practical form of venture philanthropy and always aim to produce a high level of return on investment for each donation received.

By making a donation to us you are supporting the continued work of a highly experienced and dedicated team of researchers and carers with a solid, proven track record in delivering outstanding results for our patients, partners and supporters.

As the official fundraising body of The Mater Misericordiae University Hospital, all of our fundraising is coordinated through the Mater Foundation (Registered Charity No CH9768). Funds donated towards the Mater Institute of Research & Therapy (MIRT) will be safely and securely housed by the Mater Foundation.
